Kairos Cottage is a bed and breakfast establishment situated on Shark Island, Luderitz. The original value of windswept Luderitz to the German colonialists was as a port. The discovery of diamonds increased the financial worth of both anchorage and town with thousands of prospectors arriving by land and sea. A reminder of those days can be seen in the ghost town of Kolmanskop situated a short drive inland towards the village of Aus.
Breakfast at Kairos Cottage is ordered from coffee shop and served in the breakfast room. Many of their guests have thoroughly enjoyed Christo (a former member of the Drakensberg Boys Choir) singing and playing the piano in the morning. It is not unusual for the entire family to join in on occasions either. Breakfast packs can be ordered for early starts and light lunches can be taken in the coffee shop. There is also a laundry service and Wi-Fi connection.
Accommodation is in 5 beautifully furnished en-suite rooms with either queen-size or twin beds. Air-conditioning, tea/coffee station, fridge and a TV with a DSTV hotel package are standard. Each room also has their own braai facilities. Stunning sea views and sunsets can be viewed from the comfort of your own room.

Pomona & Bogenfels Day Tour: Trip into the Sperrgebiet (forbidden diamond area) with visits to the abandonded mining town of Pomona and the rock arch at Bogenfels.

Lovely place but with hindsight, I would skip Luderitz in future and just drive through from Aus to Kolmanskop.
Very nicely positioned in Luderitz. Would recommend this if you are visiting. Not a long walk to the city center.
Excellent B&B. Clean, great furniture and fittings, beautiful view and the owner went out of his way to assist us.
Perfect for my needs but did not make full use of the nice location as I was at Kolmanskop for sunset and sunrise!

Basic all round but adequate for a short stay. Lovely location. The owner doesn't stay on site, expect to have to call her to check you in or if you have any enquiries during your stay.
Fabulous location, lovely room, good value, nice breakfast. Was a little uncomfortable first morning at breakfast with the piano and singing, but you get used to it and the hosts are lovely.

Very good bed and breakfast, Christopher and his family are very welcoming. The bedroom was very nice and everything was perfectly clean. The view from the cottage is amazing. Very good breakfast.
A great spot to stay handy for everything. Clean and tidy accommodation, great selection for the tasty breakfasts. My only problem with this accommodation was the sound proofing, you could hear everything from neighbours next door.

We had a lovely experience at the Kairos cottage in Luderitz. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the food was very enjoyable. I would love a chance to visit this place again, it was more than we could have hoped for.
