The Lagoon is one of Namibia's 4 Ramsar sites and it's protection is guaranteed by the Namibian government. The Ramsar Convention, (The Convention on Wetlands of International Importance) is an international treaty for the conservation and sustainable utilization of wetlands. It is named after the town of Ramsar in Iran, the location of the first meeting.

Standard Rooms: These rooms are on the ground floor, sea-facing with an outside wooden viewing deck. Typical facilities include en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning, 8 channel TV, modem access/computer port, mini-bar, direct dial telephones, shaver outlets, in-room safes, a work desk and a tea/coffee station.
Balcony Rooms: set on the upper floor, also sea-facing but with improved views of the bay. The facilities are similar to the Standard Rooms.
There is a yacht club nearby. Activities in the area include water skiing, hiking, rowing, sailing, golf, camel rides, dune-skiing, quad biking, hang-gliding, a gym/health club, tennis, a swimming pool, squash, horse riding. Many visitors to the area enjoy the nearby flamingo and dolphin watching.

This was our least favorite, it is just a hotel and lacks the charm and hospitality of the other places. Would have rather stayed at a more intimate lodge or B&B.
