Wine and dine in the main guest house. Expect a high standard of cuisine at Sandune Game Lodge complemented by a comprehensive wine list. Sandune's head chef provides a variety of sumptuous meals including a full African breakfast, tasty outdoor lunches, boma barbecues and appetizing dinners served in the restaurant. Snacks, main meals and desserts are prepared by hand with fresh ingredients. Menu's are revised on a regular basis. Beef and game are served when available.
Enjoy the African artifacts and warm atmosphere in the bar and lounge. This is the ideal place to meet and chat with fellow travellers about your day's adventures, especially around the fireplace on those colder winter nights. The dining area is covered by shady trees and offers an excellent panoramic view of the spotlit waterhole.
Enjoy a splash in the rim-flow pool after a long, dusty drive or a game drive. You can observe small herds of kudu, blue wildebeest, birds of prey and small antelope that come to drink, graze and play whilst you have dip. Special occasions such as weddings, birthday parties and reunions can be staged at Sandune Game Lodge. Up to 150 guests can be catered for. The use of indoor and outside facilities can be arranged.

Luxury Rooms: There are 12 x spacious luxury rooms embellished in a modern style which enhances the immediate Namibian environment. All rooms have a very plush finish including an en-suite bathroom, air-conditioning, king-size or 2 three quarter beds, television with satellite TV channels, bar fridge, in-room safe and an Nespresso Coffee Machine. Rooms are serviced daily. .
An alternative to the luxury rooms are the 4 x private and spacious luxury bush cottages. Each of the 4 units are equipped with an open-plan lounge with leather furniture, fireplace and an in-room safe. Step outside to your private patio and enjoy a sundowner combined with occasional game sightings. The kitchenette has a fridge/freezer and Nespresso Coffee Machine. The main bedroom has a king-size bed and the 2nd bedroom 2 x ¾ beds. The amenities are similar to the luxury rooms.
The main activities revolve around sunrise and sunset game drives. Horse riding offers a different perspective to game viewing by vehicle. Experience the traditions and cultures of the bushmen with a visit to a San village. Tribal dancing is optional but encouraged. Bird watching is also a great favourite in and around the lodge or on any activity.

Knowledgeable and experienced guides accompany you on the popular sunrise and sunset game drives. Wildlife includes zebra, wildebeest, ostrich, giraffe and a number of antelope species such as oryx, impala and sable. Many photographic opportunities abound en-route as you will be informed of the biodiversity of the landscape and it's inhabitants along the way. Drinks and snacks supplied at the half-way point.
Horse back riding in the bush is undoubtedly one of the most thrilling and adventurous ways to game view. At times it will be slowly trailing and tracking large species of mammals, or quietly on the lookout for different species of birds. Expect some fast gallops on both land and water as well. Along the way your guides will be on lookout for wildlife often accompanied by experiences of previous adventures.
Take a trip to the Bushman's Camp to experience the traditions and culture of the San Bushmen. This well-known and diverse group are one of the earliest inhabitants of Namibia. Learn how they light fires, prepare and cook food and many other aspects of their daily lives. The Bushmen have many captivating stories to entertain you with as well. Singing and dancing the Bushmen way offers the perfect ending to your visit, not forgetting to purchase a few homemade crafts before you depart.

The Arnhem Caves are the largest in Namibia, this simple rest camp allows guests to explore these caves.
Built from locally made red Kalahari clay bricks this is a wonderful lodge. Expect good food, stunning Kalahari sunsets and a warm welcome.
Hans and Claudia run an excellent guest farm - activities include game drives, learning about (and eating) local sheep, the art centre and carpet weaving. We think this is one of the best guest farms in Namibia.

The accomodations were excellent, food great, and the welcome warm and genuine. Enjoyed the trip to the San village. The manager greeted everyone in their own language and translated the Koisan (of the Bushmen) well. He was very helpful and nice. Highly recommend
from Windhoek head towards to Gobabis on the B6 national road. Pass through Gobabis and continue on the B6 for a further 3km. Turn right (south) on the C22 road going to Arminius and continue for 8km on this road till you reach the gate on your right-hand side of SanDüne Lodge. Open the gate, drive for 7km to the second Main gate the lodge is a further 3km from South Africa through Botswana reaching the Buitepos Border Post - continue on the B6 national road for 100km and turn left on the C22 to Arminius and continue for 8km on this road till you reach the gate of SanDüne Lodge. Enter the gate and drive for 7km until you reach the second gate. Open and close the gate - drive for 3km to the main lodge.Download Map
