Hohenstein lodge

Hohenstein Lodge is located on the bottom of the highest peak of the Erongo mountains. In the evening, spectacular sunsets bathe the mountain in fantastic red light.

The view over the vast landscape extends as far as the Spitzkoppe peak, protruding as a prominent relief from the plain. The lodge is the perfect starting point for exciting outings at the Hohenstein and for day-trips to the Spitzkoppe or the neighbouring Ameib farm.

A Superior-Chalet with luxery equipment and aircondition for two persons extends the offer at Hohenstein Lodge. The Chalet is situated in a special place near the lodge and offers spectacular views to the mountain range.

Nice place, would benefit with secure method of leaving the window screens in place overnight. Food poor.

Excellent service here. Beautiful location and quality food, wine. Recently renovated and felt like a niche-luxury accommodation.

Could have stayed here another night. Very nice place with enough to do for a few days. We would have enjoyed the pool if we had more time. Dinner was nice. Enjoyed the small miners tour!

We were pleasantly surprised by Hohenstein as we`d really only booked it as a quick stop between northern Damaraland and the Namib Naukluft National Park. Service was absolutely excellent and our room was large and comfortable. We had an excellent view from our terrace over to the mountains.

Nice and moderately priced place. I had one expectation that could not be fulfilled: To have a hike to the top of Hohenstein mountain. But neither your office nor the staff at Hohenstein had been there, and neither could help me getting there. Probably something I would need to plan and do alone.
