The farmhouse is a basic and simple getaway filled with rare luxuries such as silence and campfires - there is so little light pollution that it seems that you can reach out and touch the stars.
The farmhouse is yours exclusively, the only other people who could be on the farm are our campers located 2km's from the Farmhouse. You can either choose to just relax or if you enjoy the outdoors, there is plenty to keep you occupied. You can walk, cycle or hike many of our routes & trails that have been created on the farm. Rock climbing with own gear & and at own risk is possible and if you have a 4 x 4 vehicle, you are welcome to drive our marked 4 x 4 route on the farm. There are marked viewing points to enjoy an easy short hike and watch the sunset.
The farm is incorporated into a wildlife conservancy -The Erongo Mountain Conservancy' and therefore this area is a free roaming area for wildlife.
San Living Museum. Get an insight into the life and culture of the San at the open-air San Living museum. It is situated 8km West from our entrance.
From the comfort of the farm house veranda, there are many bird species that visit the bird bath in the garden. Some special bird species to watch out for are: Rosy faced lovebirds, Rüppell's parrot, White-tailed Shrike
Then birds that are endemic to the area are: Augur Buzzard, Carp's Tit, Damara Red-billed Hornbill, Damara Rockrunner, Hartlaub's Francolin, Herero Chat, Monteiro's Hornbill, Verreaux's eagle, Violet Wood-Hoopoe.
Rock Art Drive - Our neighbours to the West, Omandumba Guest Farm, offer a rock art drive. Be sure to book at least a day in advance.
Day Excursions - The Erongo Farmhouse is situated very centrally. Ideal for day excursions to the famous Spitzkoppe and even Erindi Private Game Reserve.
Nestled in a conservation area in the majestic Erongo Mountains this property contains a wide selection of rock art. Activities here center around rock art and various guided walking trails serve as a good introduction to Namibian rock art.
Situated at the foot of the Hohenstein mountain, this lodge offers many hiking and climbing opportunities. It is also well situated to visit the Spitzkoppe Mountain.

Uis Guesthouse is situated in the heart of Uis – the old mining settlement, a mere 30min drive away from the famous Brandberg, Namibia’s highest mountain.
From Windhoek: Coming from Windhoek you travel along the B1 towards Okahandja. Stay on the B1 until it changes into the B2 just after Okahandja. Follow the B2 for 64 km and turn right onto the C36 just after Wilhemstal. Drive along this gravel road for 73 km until you reach a T-junction. Turn right onto the C33 in the direction of Omaruru. After only 4 km you turn left onto the D 2315. After a short drive you pass the entrance gate of the Erongo Conservancy. From here you will reach the Erongo Farmhouse after about 32 km. There will be a silver livestock ramp on your right and just before that a turn off with a gate to your right with our sign on. From Omaruru: Travelling from Omaruru you drive along the C33 towards Karibib. Just 1km after Omaruru you turn right onto the D 2315. After a short drive you pass the entrance gate of the Erongo Conservancy. From here you will reach the Erongo Farmhouse after about 32 km. There will be a silver livestock ramp on your right and just before that a turn off with a gate to your right with our sign on. From Swakopmund: Coming from Swakopmund you take the B2 towards Karibib. In Usakos you turn left into the D 1935 to Okombahe. After 22 km travel right onto the D2306 - still in the direction of Okambahe. After 25 km you drive east onto the D2315. After a short drive you pass the entrance gate of the Erongo Conservancy. From here you will reach the Erongo Farmhouse after about 15 km. There will be a silver livestock ramp on your left and just after that a turn off with a gate to your left with our sign on. NB. Please check in at the Farm House Reception, where the directions to the camp site will be provided
