Chobe river camp

Chobe River Camp is located only 4km from the Ngoma Border Post between Botswana and Namibia, a much quieter border post to the busier one at Kasane. This closeness to the world famous Chobe National Park also cannot pass unnoticed as huge concentrations of elephant roam freely in the park. This location provides an ideal base before travelling further onto Victoria Falls, Bwabwata Park, the Okavango Delta and many other northern Namibian highlights.

The breathtaking scenery and privacy combine dramatically with tall mopane woodlands, floodplains fringed with majestic baobab trees, papyrus and water-lily lined waterways and deep lagoons, hosting spectacular wildlife interaction. Wildlife enthusiasts will also delight in the prospect at possible sightings of puku and Chobe bushbuck, very rare animals that reside here.

The highlight of the main building is to observe the activity of the immediate floodplains from private lounge decks and huge comfortable couches, all from elevated decking. Enjoy your overnight stay at Chobe River Camp in one of 20 Tented Chalets equipped with air-coolers and mosquito nets. Constructed from a canvas/mopane timber combination, each unit affords magnificent views across spectacular Chobe River scenery from private decks. Exciting views of elephants grazing and sometimes bathing are common.
