At the time of renting a fuel / fine deposit of N$2 500 will be authorised on the renters credit card. Fully equipped camping vehicles have an additional deposit of N$5 000 to cover camping equipment see (Insurance)
The rental fee includes all associated insurances (Collision Waiver, Theft Waiver, Tyre & Glass) and zero excess liability cover (0). When vehicles are rented with camping equipment - this equipment is not covered in this standard insurance and the first N$5 000 of loss / breakage / theft are for the renters account.
All our 4x4's come equipped with 2 x spare tyres & a GPS (loaded with Tracks for Africa). All Hilux's include a fridge. Vehicles rented as fully equipped camping vehicles include additional equipment listed below.
A checklist will be present and the renter should check the vehicle thoroughly before leaving the Car Rental Company premises and inform the lessor of any obvious damage, so that it can be noted before departure. Damages not noted will be deemed as new damages. Once both parties are satisfied that the checklist is correct, the checklist will be signed by both parties.
The renter will receive the vehicle with a full tank of fuel. Upon the return of the vehicle/termination of the hire, the vehicle is to be returned with a full tank. If stipulation is not met, the vehicle will be refilled at the renters expense.
In the event of an accident or any road side emergency, contact the Car Rental Company immediately. Assistance will be provided by our representatives authorized to do so. Where a vehicle cannot be repaired the Car Rental Company will arrange that a new vehicle be delivered to you.
Recovery of the vehicle and/or roadside mechanical assistance due to driver negligence will require additional charges to be billed to the renter.
In the event where a replacement vehicle is issued, a new agreement needs to be authorised.
Instances where a single vehicle accident takes place due to any of the below mentioned factors, the renter will be held liable for the full charges of vehicle replacement and all recovery costs.
Renters must ensure that passports and visas are valid for the country. The Car Rental Company will not be held liable or responsible should the renter be refused entry into the country for any reason.
The rental agreement in between the renter and the Car Rental Company. In terms of this rental agreement the booking is defined as a reservation, which is done by the renter or the renter’s travel agency.
Should the ‘payee’ not be present and is only facilitating the car rental for a third party, a letter of authorisation is required from the ‘payee’, stipulating that they are aware of the financial transaction.
Please keep in mind that theft is a problem all over the world, so ideally try to keep purse, wallet and cameras concealed. Be careful of walking alone in deserted areas after dark. Lock suitcases and valuables in the boot / trunk of your car. Preferably use Lodge Security for storage of valuables, air tickets and excess cash.
No vehicle may be taken out of Namibia wihtout prior consent. Vehicles are not to be driven at night or faster than 80km/h on gravel roads, 120km/h on tarred roads outside urban areas and 60km/h inside urban areas - a warning buzzer will be activated automatically. It remains the driver’s responsibility to reduce the vehicle’s speed to the road conditions, regardless of above mentioned speed allocations. The vehicle will also not be used for conveyance of any kind, other than that of the individuals listed on the rental agreement.
Please note, due to the insurance policy applied to this product, only declared persons are insured while making use of the vehicle. No third parties are permitted in the vehicle.
In the event where the vehicle is returned in a condition that necessitates a valet, the cost of said valet will be charged to the renter.
All vehicles are fitted with tracking systems. This is to ensure the safety of the renter and to enable the Car Rental Company to track the vehicles in the event of an emergency.

Even when full payment has been made in advance a valid credit card MUST be presented on the day of renting the vehicle. In the event that you fail to present a valid credit card or lack sufficient funds the car rental agent may refuse to release the vehicle. In these instances, no funds paid will be reimbursed. Prepaid credit cards & debit cards can not be used.
A valid drivers license is required for all drivers. If this license is not printed in English it must be accompanied by an International Drivers License.
A valid form of photo ID (passport or national identity document) must be presented when renting the vehicle

A printed version of your voucher must be produced upon arrival at the rental desk. Failure to present the voucher means the car rental agent may charge you at the incorrect rate. Please note: We are not responsible for overcharges on rentals where the voucher was not presented to the local agent on collection of the vehicle.
When renting the vehicle you will be required to sign a contact with the rental company. The terms and conditions stipulated on that contract are legally binding and any disputes between the renter and rental company will be settled according to those terms. Please make sure you fully acquaint yourself with those terms & conditions before taking possession of the vehicle.
