Introduction: Bold Leaftails (Phyllogomphus selysii) were named after a Belgian founder of odonatology, Baron Michel Edmond de Selys-Longchamps (1813-1900). Breeding: Larvae has been found in sandy to muddy substrates of slow-moving rivers.
Flight season: Occurs throughout most of the rainy season.
