Sossusvlei Shuttle Safari

Accommodated trip to the Namib Desert - Namibia

The Sossusvlei Shuttle Safari is 3 day accommodated trip to Sossusvlei, one of the most popular tourist attractions in Namibia. A pair of binoculars and a camera should never be too far away on any journey, and this foray is no exception. A steep and picturesque pass, a few settlements and a canyon, will all be viewed on the route to a memorable excursion to a clay pan, set amongst the towering red sand dunes of the Namib Desert. The star-shaped mounds and ridges are ideal for photographing, as is the picturesque scenery and the desert's fauna and flora.

This particular tour is one of the most time-effective ways to see one of Namibia's most spectacular sights. It has daily departures from both Windhoek and Swakopmund, and you can be dropped off in either of these locations at the end of the trip. This versatility allows it to be added on to many other safaris, and it is frequently used by those wanting to self-drive around northern Namibia, and then be guided on the Sossusvlei section of their trip.

There are two flavours of this tour: the Standard & Superior versions. They are identical (frequently sharing the same vehicle) apart from the choice of overnight accommodation the 'superior tour' stays at Namib Naukluft Lodge while the 'standard tour' is accommodated at the more rustic Soft Adventure Camp.

This safari is also good for those working or visiting friends in Namibia. The afternoon departure can easily be used as a weekend getaway. (No-one really works on a Friday afternoon in Namibia anyway!)
