Introduction: Clinochrysotile (formerly known as chrysotile) is named from Greek words chrysos meaning 'gold' and tilos for 'fibre'. It is the most common form of asbestos. It is now considered a severe health hazard, with its claim to fame being once widely used as a fire retardant and widely used in fireproof textiles.
