Introduction: Plumed hydroids (Plumularia setacea) are common in shallow waters. They have a low, creeping base supporting unbranched plume-like stems, hence the name.
Diet: Microscopic sea food.
Colouration: Pale branches.
Breeding: Reproductive individuals (Gonothecae) resemble smooth sacs with curved necks.
Max size: Stems 20mm tall.
