Long Tentacled Anemone
Introduction: Shells and gravel stick to the large sticky pads on the column of long-tentacled anemones (Anthopleura michaelseni). This is due in part to their habit of being partially buried in sand in rock crevices and sandy pools from mid-shore downwards.
Colouration: Bright but dark stripes, spread out from the mouth to the 96 pink to brown tentacles. Spherules are present.
Breeding: Either sexual/body division.
Max size: 70mm in diameter.
