Lion Tracking
A real highlight at Kalahari Game Lodge is to view black-maned Kalahari lion. Your guided activity takes place in the lion enclosure, a 24,000 ha electrified fenced area on the lodge grounds. As 4 of the free-roaming lions are collared, sightings can almost be guaranteed if all the GPS signals are working. Only morning drives are conducted during the months of September to February as the lions tend to hide under the shade of bushes in the extremely hot afternoons making sightings and photography more difficult. Children from the ages of 7 to 12 are permitted on this activity if accompanied by a parent/guardian. Departure: 07h00 and 14h00. Duration: 3-5hrs. Min: 2 pax. Optimum game viewing opportunities are afforded from the lodges' open game viewing vehicle. Max seating: 9 pax.
