Kanamub Mountain Camp

Community Campsites - Namibia

In a secluded area of Kaokloand in north western Namibia lies the community operated Kanamub Mountain Camp

Why visit Kanamub?

  • The camp is set into a stunning natural rock formation and offers amazing views across the plains to the west.

What can you experience?

  • Guests can enjoy a beautiful African sunset from this ideal vantage point, and have a high chance of viewing a range of Namibian wildlife, including oryx, ostrich, springbok and zebra
  • Visits to Himba communities

What facilities are available?

  • The site’s facilities include an open-air (but private!) shower, with hot water, a wash basin area and a stunning view; a full kitchen area with sink, sideboards and draining area; a flush toilet, and a braai area.  This campsite is offered as an exclusive site, by advance booking only, and can accommodate groups of up to 12 people

How to get there?

  • 27kms north of Sesfontein on the Puros road, still within Sesfontein Conservancy, Kanamub Mountain Camp lies in a spectacular setting, completely secluded from but close to the main tourist route.

Unfortunately we are not able to book community campsites as there are no reliable contact numbers or booking offices in places.
The only way to get a site is to arrange it on arrival at the campsite.
