Düsternbrook Day Trip

Windhoek - Namibia

This half day trip starts and ends in Namibia's capital city, Windhoek. Participants are driven to a private game lodge, Düsternbrook, north of the town.

The emphasis of this day trip is on watching the feeding of cheetah and leopard at close range! On arrival at the lodge participants board an open 4x4 vehicle and are driven into the big cats encampment. The leopard & cheetah are then fed allowing photographers to take brilliant pictures of these magnificent animals in their natural environment.

Afterwards the excitement of the feed, and before returning to Windhoek, there is time to wind down and enjoy a drink at the old farmhouse (built in 1909) which offers a spectacular view onto a riverbed and the Khomas Hochland mountains.
